community is at the heart of CSC.
CSC originated from the merger of two InfoSec community meet-ups
Born out of a merger of two thriving security communties, in late 2018. Former lead organiser of Security Scotland, Stu Hirst, and former lead organiser of Scotland Connect, Harry McLaren, decided to bring together these groups to diversify, unify and ignite a passionate and thriving Scottish security community under the newly created, Cyber Scotland Connect.
Is to create a holistic and diverse hub for the cyber community, in Scotland
All levels of experience are welcome; from those aspiring to enter the industry through to security experts. Our purpose is to provide regular, informal meetups where individuals can gather together to; network, discuss the latest industry trends & hot topics within the security sector. Although still in our infancy, we are overwhelmed with the support we have received from our community.
To create and establish a collegial community, we ask that you withhold judgement from fellow members and individuals that are willing to share.
OPEN & HONEST
If you would like to discuss and share your thoughts & opinions, we ask that you please be sincere and be your authentic self. We would love to hear what you have to say!
SALES & VENDOR FREE
As an informal, relaxed community meet-up for practitioners that want to share their thoughts & ideas. We have a strict no vendor presentations or sales pitch rule.
Our aim is to create an enjoyable and welcoming community environment where people can be themselves. As such, we have a zero tolerance toward bullying and harassment.
